Slow But Unsure
Just a quicky.
Whoever said that doing a doujin is a quick and happy process is talking poop. I’m not gonna go into details but I’m 4 days into drawing, And i’ve only done the rough sketches on 1 and a half pages!
This is gonna be painful =_=;

Ah, I totally understand you~
Overnight, my short (fan)doujinshi of about 16 pages had a set story board and rough drawings.
The problem is, after rough art is the cleaning up of art and then inking and colouring of front/back covers…
I’m still busy with the inking stage right now, so it does take long.. even if it seems to be quick at first T_T
Don’t give up and do your best! I’m really looking forward to your doujinshi! ^o^

Thank you m(_ _)m (ha! gonna start using that too ^_^)
I’m just doing each “Act” or major chapter at a time, or else I’ll not ever get it done! Thinking about it, a storyboard would help alot… hmmmm.
Oh and you can get first dibs on them when done, if you want ^_^

m(_ _)m Is a cool emoticon but, my friend thinks it looks like a bum, though
Hmm, your doujinshi is much longer then mine so, naturally it would take longer.
I really admire your energy and creativity and appreciate your offer to let me ‘get first dibs’ on it ^__^
That said, storyboards are useful for planning.. hmm, I’m thinking of making a blog post pertaining to art and the process thereof (aka making doujinshi and manga)..

Just wish I could get into a drawing rhythmn, instead of fits and start *grrrrr*
And you’re very welcome. I’d make a post about the whole process, but I cant since this will be the first one that made it past the front cover >.<

I know what you mean! I used to always start things but, have trouble finishing them.
As I motivation wavers, I need to keep building it up…
So, I don’t really have a “rhythm” either but, I *kinda* forced myself to get used to it…
… It helped ^^;

I remember when I was doing my webcomic back a few years ago….. And I’m lazy… so it took longer… I didn’t have to do loads at once though thank god… just update a page or so a week. But then i got really lazy and haven’t updated in ages…..
And you must work for your figures! Feels better that way! I mean, getting them as gifts is nice, but knowing your earnt them. It’s nice.
